Anxiety and depression can feel overwhelming, affecting your thoughts, emotions, and even your ability to enjoy daily life. Whether you’re experiencing racing thoughts, tension, or a lingering sense of unease, you don’t have to navigate it alone. As a BACP Accredited Counsellor, I specialise in working with anxiety and depression, helping people understand their struggles, explore the root causes, and develop strategies to manage them. But more than that, I want to get to know the real you—the person behind the anxiety. I believe therapy isn’t just about symptoms; it’s about understanding your experiences, your strengths, and what truly matters to you.
I take an integrative approach to counselling, meaning I tailor our work to suit you as an individual. I also enjoy working creatively, exploring different ways to help you express yourself and make sense of your emotions—whether through talking, imagery, metaphors, or other techniques that resonate with you.
Therapy isn’t formal or intimidating; it’s simply a conversation between two people. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll find a way forward that helps you feel more in control, more resilient, and more at peace.
Finding a therapist can feel like a big step, but I’d love to have an informal chat about what you’re looking for and how I might be able to help.
Please feel free to contact me for an initial conversation via email, phone or Zoom to find out more about how we could work together.
A counsellor can provide a non-judgmental and supportive space that can help you to face your anxiety and fears in a more open and available way.
Counselling can reveal to you how your anxiety/depression truly manifests both mentally and physically helping you to identify it's process.
A counsellor can help you to notice any automatic and unconscious coping strategies that you've adopted and help you to learn alternative ways to live a fulfilling life.
By talking, counselling can help reveal core beliefs about your own identity. Together you can explore how these beliefs might be dictating behaviours and thought processes. You can decide whether these beliefs are actually valid.
With better self awareness, you can now make conscious changes to any belief systems, behaviours or patterns that you feel are hindering you to sustain relationships, employment, personal goals.
Feeling more confident as a unique individual, you can start to identify your own true values and goals and look to working toward achieving those.
