How I work
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and I specialise in working with anxiety and depression, helping people to better understand their struggles. We explore the root causes, and develop strategies to manage the symptoms. I take an integrative approach to counselling, meaning I tailor our work to suit you as an individual. Therapy isn’t formal or intimidating; it’s simply a conversation between two people. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll find a way forward that helps you feel more in control, more resilient, and more at peace.
Finding a therapist can feel like a big step, but I’d love to have an informal chat about what you’re looking for and how I might be able to help.
A counsellor can provide a non-judgmental and supportive space that can help you to face your anxiety and fears in a more open and available way.
Counselling can reveal to you how your anxiety/depression truly manifests both mentally and physically helping you to identify it's process.
A counsellor can help you to notice any automatic and unconscious coping strategies that you've adopted and help you to learn alternative ways to live a fulfilling life.
By talking, counselling can help reveal core beliefs about your own identity. Together you can explore how these beliefs might be dictating behaviours and thought processes. You can decide whether these beliefs are actually valid.
With better self awareness, you can now make conscious changes to any belief systems, behaviours or patterns that you feel are hindering you to sustain relationships, employment, personal goals.
Feeling more confident as a unique individual, you can start to identify your own true values and goals and look to working toward achieving those.
